In real life you could spool it no problem with bigger line cause you do palming to ad drag and set your drag to 20% of your line strength which this reel could do. The reel has only a 6.4 lb max drag which is less then all the lines listed so the reel will never get the full use out of the line you put on it or the reel will constantly take damage. So if the game does damage your reel for putting lighter line on or heavier then that is all that matters. You can even go one step further and look at the amount of Floro and since the game has Floro 12 at same thickness as Mono its easy only difference is Floro has a 10 lb test in game so its 10 12 15 and its. For mono that would be 8 12 16 and for braid it be 17 20 30. The game doesn't have all those lines in it so lets use the lines they do have. So with that said as for mono line that would mean you use 10 12 15 and for braid that would be 15 20 30. Not sure how much the game mechanics hold true to this but in real life you go one size up or smaller then recommended line to prevent damage and bird nesting. Now if we look a the thickness of those lines we'll see that means it holds 100 yards of. What that means is that you can fit 100 yards of 12 lb mono line or 135 yards of 20 lb braid line on the spool to max the spool out. Okay I know this post is ancient and I know not a lot of people will see it but let me help you all with this info.
